Position Overview:

Looking for a Senior Systems engineer to lead the development of oxygen-based systems and help advance our systems engineering capabilities. The systems engineering group is a relatively new discipline introduced into the organization, so we are in a growth phase! Partnering with other engineering disciplines (mechanical/electrical/chemical/cert/project), the position requires the candidate to be able to develop and manage requirements and associated documentation required per DO160 / DO178 / ARP4754 standards. The candidate should have experience and be comfortable working with customers to illicit customer needs/specifications, deriving technical requirements to meet the customers needs, decomposing system-level requirements into component level requirements, documenting system-level design/architecture, creating test plans/reports and supporting certification testing campaigns. As we get many RFP’s from customers, the candidate should also be able provide BOE’s for projects assigned. The position will be located on-site in Lubeck, Germany initially but may transition to a Hybrid type of role after a period of time.

Skills you Must Have:

• IBM Rational DOORS / ClearCase / ClearQuest

• Polarion / TortoiseSVN

• EU Citizenship is required for military project/product support.

Skills We Value:

• RTCA DO-178 B/C / ARP4754

• Practical experience utilizing modeling and simulation tools (Matlab/Simulink, Cameo, or similar)

• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts

• INCOSE certification

• Comfortable in a software test lab utilizing Hardware-in-Loop and Software-in-the-loop (HIL/SIL) test setups

Desired Personal Skills:

• Open and proactive communication

• Self-starter with systems level thinking

• Fluent in German and English Languages
