Performs highly skilled mechanical and/or analytical duties lead position in the coordination and completion of projects in a research lab or program. May supervises subordinate employees. Major/Essential Functions:
Designing, developing, and testing hardware/software systems for the CMS HGCAL.
Engaging in system-level engineering and providing team direction.
Participating in group efforts for problem analysis, preliminary and detailed design discussions, reviews, and integrations.
Responsible for monitoring the stock of materials necessary for the repair and construction of equipment and reorder materials as necessary.

The ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and handle frequent interruptions.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to keep and maintain accurate and detailed reports and records.

Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate close collaboration with project personnel and TTU students, as well as other U.S. and/or international institutions.

About the Department and/or College:
The Department of Physics and Astronomy has about 20 faculty, with research clusters in astrophysics, condensed matter, particle physics and additional activity in biophysics and physics education research. It offers BS, MS and PhD.
