In this position, you will create and plan events for career preparation, programming services, and internship, co-op, and full-time job opportunities for Whitacre College of Engineering (WCOE) undergraduate students. You will work with the Assistant Director of Career Services and Director of Student Services to contribute to the students' professional development and success.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate and oversee the organization and execution of Whitacre College of Engineering Job Fairs.

  • Plan and manage various college-wide events, including specialized company industry days and workshops aimed at industry preparation and professional development.

  • Provide valuable support in resume critiques and conduct mock interviews, offering constructive feedback to enhance candidate preparedness.

  • Collaborate in the development of impactful social media content and marketing materials to promote career-related initiatives.

  • Develop and implement strategic events and opportunities aimed at enhancing our job placement data, ensuring our candidates are well-prepared and connected for successful career transitions.

  • Highly adaptable and customer-focused professional with exceptional customer service skills.

  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Career services or Director of Student Services.

The Whitacre College of Engineering (WCOE) was one of the university’s original four colleges founded in 1925 and later renamed in honor of Edward E. Whitacre, Jr. The WCOE has seven departments and approximately 4800 undergraduate and 1300 graduate students. There are approximately 220 faculty/instructors and 115 staff in the college. “We are a regionally rooted first class engineering college with national and worldwide impact.”
