Position Description:

Manages personnel and budgetary matters for a department or college. Exercises discretion and independent judgment to oversee the activities of staff and the financial processes to ensure fiscal responsibility of department/college. Ensures staff and faculty have the resources to complete their work. Usually serves as a hiring manager and employee service coordinator.

Major/Essential Functions:

Prepare, maintain and reconcile business documents, payroll records, P-card reports. Reconcile accounts/ledgers. Provide support in administrative and financial functions including verification of budget/expenses.

Greet and communicate with students, faculty, staff, departments and other stakeholders in a positive manner. Provide support in academic and certification functions.

Process, verify, and input documents and data into multiple computer systems while paying close attention to detail. Respond to inquiries about information in databases.

Hire, supervise, and train front desk team. Manage student staff calendar.

Military & Veteran Programs, MVP, was created in 2010 as a department solely dedicated to helping veterans and their families succeed. We currently have more than 3000 students attending Texas Tech University who are veterans or are family members of veterans.
