Position Description:
Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions:
Advise students, parents, high school counselors and other entities on the financial aid process through in-office meetings, front counter, special events, orientation and presentations.
Oversee, manage, and mentor Financial Aid advising team. Provide training to staff as needed.
Monitor policies and procedures specific to areas of client services to ensure compliance with respect to Title IV federal student aid for each area/specific function within the Office of Student Financial Aid.
Make adjustments to student financial aid awards in an effort to maintain compliance with federal and state programs.
Represent student financial aid and Texas Tech University at recruiting, outreach and scholarship events throughout the state.
Attend local and University events as a representative of TTU Student Financial Aid.
Assist Director of Student Services as needed.
