Qubica AMF Maintenance Technician in Lowville, New York
Qubica AMF is looking for a full time Maintenance Technician. Responsibilities Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed. Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures. Performs routine maintenance on building systems. Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities. All QubicaAMF employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies & procedures. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or manager. Required Education, Experience and Skills Ability to read basic instruction and safety manuals Basic computer skills Ability to use hand and power tools Strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent time management skills Demonstrated self-motivation and the ability to work independently Preferred Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED Welding and Fabricating certificate Previous experience in related field preferred Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment Working Conditions Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands. Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-waist, waist-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying. Must be physically able to climb ladders and climb stairs on the silo Product weight: up to 50 lbs. Fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 55 90 degrees F.
