Job Overview
This position manages and analyzes all data falling under the purview of the Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology programs. Consults with key stakeholders and may act as lead on projects requiring data derived from multiple internal or external sources, to improve processes and outcomes of care and maintain compliance with external regulatory agencies. The position supports analytics and data management across multiple systems to create actionable data output through various software solutions.
Location: On Site - Lowell General Hospital - 55 Technology Drive - Lowell, MA
Hours: 40 hours Monday thru Friday - No weekends no nights
Minimum Qualifications
(2) years of experience with data analytics in a healthcare data collection
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Ability to summarize and communicate results to people across the entire organization
Advanced Excel skills, data analysis experience, and experience with medical terminology
SQL querying experience a plus
Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, SlicerDicer, etc.) experience, and Microsoft Power BI (or other BI tool) experience a plus
Duties and Responsibilities

Provides consultation, design, and development services, requiring data collection and presentation, reports, and other specialized documents for clinical quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
Translates analytical findings into easy to follow recommendations and summaries.
Develops queries and analytical tools for use in quality improvement and decision support.
Analyzes complex quality datasets using spreadsheets and statistical software
Utilizes data from internal electronic medical records systems and third-party electronic systems such as NHSN and Vizient, Qualtrics to provide actionable data through analytical reports.
Build dashboards from data sources using powerBI or similar tools
Develops and tracking project milestones, performance measures and dashboards
Designs and trains staff in the use of office productivity tools to increase productivity.
