As a Chart Retrieval Specialist, you’ll play a key role in improving healthcare outcomes by retrieving and organizing medical records that our experts analyze for risk adjustment.

What You’ll Do

  • Retrieve Medical Records: Collect medical charts (both paper and electronic) from healthcare facilities within a 40-90 mile radius for retrospective and prospective reviews.

  • Hands-On Fieldwork: Visit provider offices, securely retrieve records, and upload them into our secure system for review by our coding team.

  • Work from Anywhere: No need to report to an office! Wrap up your tasks for the day in the comfort of your own home.

  • Comprehensive Training: New to risk adjustment? Enjoy two days of paid, remote training—virtually from home!

Skills and Experience We’re Looking For

  • Ability to download/upload files and organize them effectively.

  • Knowledge of transferring files between software and desktop folders.

  • Familiarity with copying/pasting files and transferring them to flash drives.

  • Experience with document imaging or scanning is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurance/liability policy in your name.

  • Reliable, secure internet with download speeds of 50 Mbps and upload speeds of 5 Mbps.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Availability Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the flexibility to work three or more consecutive days depending on the project.

  • Basic familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) applications such as Epic, Allscripts, e-Clinical Works, Nextgen, etc., is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds safely and efficiently.

  • Comfortable using telephone or headset equipment for two-way communication.
