This is an onsite internship for the summer of 2025 and will be based in Loveland, CO At Keysight, we help companies address their toughest challenges with precision and confidence. We offer the best electronic measurement tools in the industry, with advanced software to match. We are a company with a storied history of pushing the high technology envelope and innovation for many decades, since our equipment needs to be more advanced than the latest technologies being developed. As a Software Application Engineer Intern in the Aerospace & Defense Custom Solutions Group you will work with a team of firmware and system engineers to develop features for an RF Switch Matrix. This instrument is critical for signal conditioning and routing in complex wireless and aerospace test system solutions that test our customer's unique products. You will be responsible for Developing the software and firmware portion of the solution - using a broad array of tools to solve the customer's test challenges Working with customers to understand their problems Mapping out the requirements Architecting the solution Helping to develop the solution Delivering the solution Training the customer on the operation of the solution Providing support to keep the solution operational Keysight is looking for a rising college senior studying Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related field. Must Have Skills and Qualifications Chosen candidate must demonstrate the ability to work closely in teams and understand the dynamics of a collaborative team environment. We search for candidates that have demonstrated leadership skills and have the ability to be dynamic and persuasive in a professional setting. In addition, this position requires the following skillsets and attributes Matriculated in a program for BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field Qualified Candidate must have completed all coursework of their Junior year in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other applicable engeineering disciplens with a projected graduation date in late 2025 or mid 2026 Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the core engineering courses Demonstrated technical skills and aptitude through work experience or applicable technical internship Demonstrated software development experience in C++/C# Knowledge of software architecture, embedded Linux OS, and software drivers to control various hardware busses Strong understanding of firmware, RF and radar solutions Experience and/or interest in the Aerospace Defense industry is a plus Unde standing of object-oriented software design and development Effective presentation and problem-solving skills Strong written & verbal communication skills Passion for continuous learning in RF and radar solutions in the Aerospace Defense industry Familiarity with S-Parameter measurements using Keysight's PNA/VNA instruments Familiarity with Atlassian development tools: Confluence, Jira and BitBucket is a plus This position requires a U.S. person.
