Humana Inc. seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Louisville, KY.Duties: • Develop and evaluate network performance criteria and measurement methods.• Prepare the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling.• Conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.• Develop alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities.• Conduct economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections.• Analyze, test, troubleshoot, and evaluate existing network systems, such as local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a networksystem.• Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption.• Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability.100% telecommuting permitted within the U.S. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or relatedrole.This role requires 5 years of experience in each of the following:• Configuring Nexus 9k,7k, 5k and FEX hardware in multi-VRF environments;• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting of Cisco 7600, 7200, 3800, 3600, 2800, 2600, 2500 and 1800 series Routers;• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Cisco Catalyst 6500, 4500, 3750, 2950 and 3500XL series switches;• Performing network capacity analysis and planning;• Creating network asset documentation and Visio diagrams;• Deploying network tools and management systems including Viavi, Live Action, or solarwinds;• Planning and addressing network hardware and software issues with Cisco, EVPN, Arista, and Palo Alto technologies;• Providing network support by responding, troubleshooting, and resolving network incidents;• EIGRP, OSPF and BGP;• Redistribution and route maps; and• Managing Cisco routers ranging from 2901 to ASR 1000 series models.Pre-employment drug screen and background check is required.Applicants who are interested in this position may apply https://www.jobpostingtoday.com/ Ref #44898.
