University of Louisville Senior Manager, Business Unit Administration in Louisville, Kentucky
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and six (6) years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 9 (Salaried)Position Description:The Senior Manager, Business Unit Administration in the Department of Radiology will have oversight of the administrative, human resource, financial, and budgetary activities of the department. The position will work with and advise the department Chair in the operations of the department to further the strategic academic goals of the Chair.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Direct the administration of the finance and business services of the department's academic and research components. This will include preparation, analysis and forecasting of the departmental budget and financial statements as well as accounts receivables, consistent with internal and external compliance in support of the strategic goals of the department.Production and presentation of the annual departmental budget and submission of respective budgets to the School of Medicine Dean and HSC Finance & Administration in coordination with the clinical Sr. Manager, BUA.Supervise academic staff to include the Manager, Faculty Affairs and residency program staff.Assist the Chairman by making recommendations to meet current budgetary commitments and future obligations.Analyze and audit systems, policies and procedures and initiate changes to provide effective business management and ensure compliance with state federal regulations as necessary. Oversee accounts receivable for the department and make recommendations for outside academic support contracts based on pro forma analysis.Oversee and participate with processes for recruitment, hiring and retention of faculty and staff; to include managing and directing personnel and providing guidance as it relates to staff training, performance, organization structure and compensation practicesPlan, direct, and coordinate the budgeting, accounting, purchasing, financial and human resource processes of the department. Make recommendations related to organizational structures and establish new positions in relation to departmental needs. Assist Chairman with annual review of faculty effort and guide budgeting and funding sources based on the review. Manage and direct research and education activity ensuring departmental compliance.
