COOLSOFT LLC Programmer Analyst -- multiple openings in LOUISVILLE, Kentucky
COOLSOFT LLC has multiple openings for the position of Programmer Analyst (Ref# PA711PAMF) to work in Louisville, KY and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. Job Duties: Analyze, implement, code, test, debug, document, maintain, and support computer programs, and enhancements of existing mainframe and web applications. Participate in requirements gathering and compile them into design document. Translate business requirements into software by developing code. Design and develop batch programs using COBOL, DB2, and JCL. Develop programs as per the approved technical specification. Participate in walkthroughs, technical design, code reviews, and testing of applications. Design, develop, and test on-line programs using CICS. Work with database administrators to implement database changes. Create monthly reports and ad-hoc reports. Complete projects using Agile methodology. Tune the SQL statements for the best performance. Participate in walkthroughs, technical design, code reviews, and testing of applications. Research problems and develop solutions to the problems. Work with the production support team to make sure that implemented applications work efficiently in production environment. Use of IBM Mainframe, COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, DB2, File-AID, QMF, SPUFI, CA-7, JAVA, MQ Series, JavaScript, XML, Ajax, z/OS, Agile Methodology, SCRUM, MS Office, and Windows. Travel and/or relocation required.REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Systems Analyst, IT Consultant, Computer Programmer, Application Developer, or related experience. Will accept 3 years of post-secondary education in any field of study and 3 years of related experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and Agile Methodology.
