Job Description

A client in the Louisville, KY area is looking for a Pre-Certification Specialist to join their team for a contract-to-hire position. This candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently identifying all appropriate and necessary clinical documentation to support medical necessities for all scheduled procedures/medication orders for multiple service lines and clinics. They'll be working in the EPIC que to verify insurance, and obtain authorizations in, but not limited to primary care, gastroenterology, internal medicine, gastrointestinal motility, etc. They'll serve as a liaison between the clinics, hospitals, payor, and patients to accurately relay information to each party regarding authorizations and insurance verification purposes. Based on experience, the pay ranges from $19hr-$28hr.

Strong Prior Authorization experience

Authorization for procedures (surgeries) -- Not referrals

EPIC experience

Strong communication skills & detail oriented

Understanding of medical terminology Strong Authorization experience & EPIC experience null
