University of Louisville Manager, Athletics Facilities (Natatorium and Tennis Center) in Louisville, Kentucky
Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration or related field and Five (5) years of facilities management experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Valid driver's license must be insurable by University insurance carrier. Employment physical, able to lift, carry and load equipment up to 50 lbs required. Ability to travel and work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. First Aid and CPR/AED Certifications. Knowledge of NCAA and ACC rules and regulations. Grade 6 (Salaried)Position Description:The Manager, Athletics Facilities (Natatorium and Tennis Center) oversees the overall operations and scheduling for the Ralph Wright Natatorium, and Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on-campus and the pool at the University of Louisville Golf Club (ULGC) in Simpsonville, KY. This position is responsible for maintaining their premier status in the city. This includes the oversight of Ralph Wright Natatorium staff, Bass-Rudd Tennis Center staff, and ULGC pool staff and maintenance of the pool, pool area, tennis courts, financial oversight, scheduling, and programming.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESOversee all departments for the Natatorium, Tennis Center, and ULGC pool including Financial Coordinators, Facility Operations Managers, Tennis Professionals, Front Desk Clerks, Lifeguards, and programs.Responsible for financial oversight of the facilities. Ensure proper business procedures are followed to include cash handling and recording of financial transactions.Oversee all scheduling for the facilities and ensure contracts are met for both facility and lane rentals. Write facility rental contracts and ensure all contractual obligations are met.Report and oversee problems and repairs to Natatorium and Tennis Center with Physical Plant and/or outside contractors.Repair/replace equipment that is used by students and members.Perform regular maintenance and upkeep on equipment and facilities.Maintain pool chemistry and areas to Board of Health standards.Schedule pool hours and lap swim hours at the Natatorium and provide oversight on all court and facility rentals at the Tennis Center for teams, rentals, and members.Oversee game day operations for both Swimming and Tennis Competitions.Assist Football Athletic Trainers with pool chemistry and maintenance of pools located at the Schnellenberger Football Complex.Assist Athletic Trainers in athletic facilities with pool chemistry for all HydroWorx tubs.Assist with game day operations for home Football and select Men’s and Women’s Basketball games and ACC and NCAA Championship events.Other duties as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director/Facilities & Stadium Manager.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSMaster's degree in Sports Administration or related field.Prior pool facility oversight and management experience.Prior event management experience.Certified Pool & Spa Operator (CPO) Certification from the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance.American Red Cross Lifeguard Instructor Certification.Proficient experience in Jonas Software or another point of sale/club management system.The Athletic Department is committed to creating equitable and inclusive campus environments that accelerate the success of the full range of our students and employees.
