University of Louisville Department Coordinator II in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:High School Diploma/GED with two (2) yrs of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 2 (Hourly).Position Description:The Department Coordinator II will provide administrative and operational assistance to the Chair of Comparative Humanities in the College of Arts & Sciences. Duties will include assisting faculty, staff, and students; maintain departmental records, archives, and the departmental website; assist with events, recruitment, and alumni affairs; serve as the public face of the department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include: Oversight of daily operations of the department.Assist in creating, submitting, and revising the course schedule.Process faculty, GTA, and PTL contracts and evaluations.Assist with scheduling and supporting departmental events, including guest travel and requests for payment.Oversight of department seminar room and processing of reservation requests.Provisional assistance to the Director of Undergraduate Studies and the Endowed Chair of Jewish Studies.Supervise Federal Work Study student(s).Maintenance of digital and paper records necessary for the smooth functioning of the department.Oversight of the department ProCard.Project management of administrative tasks.Coordinate with other A&S and University departments and offices as necessary.Requisition and order office supplies.Serve as staff liaison to the Dean’s office.Provisional assistance to faculty for travel and research procedures and expenses.Provisional back-up support to the Humanities Graduate Programs.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degreeExperience in Higher EdProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Adobe AcrobatStrong written and oral communication skillsGood problem-solving skillsAbility to maintain department website.Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.Equal Employment OpportunityThe University of Louisville is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer, and is committed to providing employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to race, sex, age, color, national origin, ethnicity, creed, religion, disability, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity and expression, marital status, pregnancy, or veteran status.
