University of Louisville Clinical Research Coordinator V - Pulmonary in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a related field and four or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Grade 5E (Salary)Position Description:The Clinical Research Coordinator V will coordinate and oversee all components for assigned inpatient or outpatient patient clinical trials in the Pulmonary Division, along with the principal investigator (PI). This includes industry-sponsored, NIH, and Investigator-initiated research studies involving human subjects. The Clinical Research Coordinator V serves as liaison to patients, and staff at the affiliated sites.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform all required study-related activities according to the study protocols. This includes recruiting and screening potential research subjects, obtaining informed consent, collecting required data, assisting with surgical procedures, blood draw, laboratory processing and shipments of specimens, and dispensing of study medications, devices, and/or clinical trial materials as delegated by the PI.Provide clinical and administrative support for research trials, studies, and projects conducted in the Pulmonary Division, to include assisting with the regulatory, IRB, and contract/budget components of clinical research trials and projects. Work closely with the Division Coordinator to ensure proper invoicing and receipt of payments for study related activities.Complete all required institutional research courses and certifications, study specific trainings, and maintain current professional license.
