This intern position is responsible for a variety of accounting duties. This position will be part-time ( 20 hours/week) during spring and fall semesters and full-time (40 hours/week) during summers. The Company will be flexible in the part-time work schedule (8am-5pm - Monday-Friday) based on the student's class schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Must have a basic understanding of financial and accounting theory / principles.

  • Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Provide assistance in the monthly closing process.

  • Compile and organize data for reports.

  • Create and maintain files.

  • Work with operational and financial employees to gather financial information.

  • Plan and develop financial reports and analysis using Excel, Oracle, EiS or PowerPlan.

  • Perform other duties as directed by manager.

Qualifications

Completed freshmen year of undergraduate studies with declared major in Accounting.

Currently enrolled in school full time (minimum 12 credit hours/semester).

Must possess strong computer skills and Excel experience with spreadsheets.

Familiarity with PowerPoint and Word are desired.

Good communication skills are a must, both written and verbal.

Minimum 3.00 GPA
