H3X Technologies Quality Engineer in Louisville, Colorado

JOB PURPOSE:
At H3X (https://www.h3x.tech/) , we are building the most advanced electric motors in the world for sustainable aviation, marine, industrial, and defense applications. At 12 kW/kg continuous, the HPDM family of integrated motor drives is a step change in electric propulsion technology and removes one of the main barriers blocking widespread proliferation of electric and hybrid aircraft. Our motors range in size from 30 kW to 30 MW and are 3X lighter than those of our competitors.
H3X is looking to hire an experienced Quality Engineer who will build our Quality Management System (QMS) and promote continuous process improvement company wide. Candidates should be experienced with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality procedures and implementations. This role will be a key part of the team and will have a direct impact on the trajectory of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) that complies with the required industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, etc) as well as accreditation requirements and H3X business requirements
Train staff on QMS processes and procedures
Contribute to new business opportunities and communicate the impact on the QMS
Monitor and audit product quality and production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards
Identify and analyze quality issues and implement corrective action plans
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential quality issues
Work closely with the team to improve the QMS, while ensuring compliance with customer standards and staying agile in a fast-paced environment
Identify and develop test methods, inspection plans, and quality control procedures
Ensure compliance with export control requirements such as ITAR/EAR, and other relevant regulations and standards
Provide guidance and support to the design and manufacturing engineering teams to address quality concerns and improve product design and manufacturability
Investigate and identify root cause of nonconformances from H3X suppliers, including within products, fabrication processes, and assembly processes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role in an Aerospace environment
Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
Experience with regulatory standards for export controls and handling of government contracts (e.g. ITAR, EAR, etc.)
Experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management System
