Job Description:

Become part of a hybrid-remote team of Geospatial professionals, each specializing in different GIS areas. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to develop the raster spatial domain. They will create an in-house data source for all raster-related needs from scratch and provide support to various CoreLogic employees.

Job Responsibilities: Design and implement scalable architectures for raster image processing and vectorization in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). Develop and maintain geospatial data pipelines for large-scale image extraction and vectorization, ensuring high performance, reliability, and efficiency. Work with various raster image formats (e.g., GeoTIFF, JPEG, PNG) and vector data formats (e.g., Shapefile, GeoJSON). Implement algorithms for image processing, feature extraction, and vectorization using programming languages such as Python, C++, R, or MATLAB. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial data into various business applications, such as mapping, GIS, and data analytics platforms. Optimize and troubleshoot geospatial data processing workflows to ensure high-quality output and meet performance requirements. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in geospatial technology, including cloud-based services, machine learning, and computer vision. Communicate technical solutions and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geospatial Engineering, Computer Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field. Consideration will also be given to equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of experience in geospatial engineering, with a focus on raster image processing and vectorization. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++ and or R Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker). Strong knowledge of raster data and processing, such as OpenCV, Pillow, SIMD, BLAS Knowledge of geospatial data formats, including raster and vector data. Familiarity with geospatial libraries and frameworks (e.g., GDAL/OGR, GeoPandas, RSGISLib and RasterIO). Experience with machine learning and computer vision concepts, particularly in the context of geospatial data. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills: Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Ray, Kubernetes, Hadoop, Spark) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Google Cloud and BigQuery) Experience with photogrammetry Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git). #LI-Remote

Annual Pay Range: 110,500 - 140,000 USD
