Job Description

What will you do?

• Assist in leading and encourage a team of manufacturing operators reporting to the area process leaders

• Ensure safe operation of the Solvents manufacturing area through the detailed use and upkeep of standard operating procedures, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, management of change and drive an outstanding safety culture.

• Drive Continuous Improvement within the area, with emphasis on Visual Management, 5S and Six Sigma LEAN initiatives. Implement standards, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve safety, quality, and operational performance.

• Work closely with QA, to develop a right first-time approach and complete investigations in line with Quality CAPA system.

• Jointly responsible for ensuring all daily operational targets are fulfilled to ensure team member and customers commitments are achieved. Champion and drive the culture of customer centricity.

• Jointly own and report team metrics, interrogate data to anticipate and react to performance trends and process variations.

• Be a conduit for communication to and from your team - verbal, written and via digital communication platforms. Lead Daily Tier Accountability and carried out use as a platform to drive success.

LCD Loughborough, Solvents – Bakewell Rd site

To ensure the safe and efficient running of Solvents manufacturing operations department, whilst driving Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) through the departments.
