Penske Inventory Control Clerk - 1st Shift in Los Indios, Texas
Position Summary:
Responsible for the daily/weekly maintaining of pallet tracking (where applicable), audit of driver logs and trip reports, log and driver file DOT requirements tracking. Liaison for internal customer support. Track all return goods as directed by the customer for close out of returns from the private fleet.
Pay:
$18.00/hr
Schedule:
Monday - Friday from 10:00AM-6:00PM / Weekends if necessary
Major Responsibilities:
Ensuring system count matches physical inventory
Perform systematic cycle counts
Resolve inventory discrepancies
Look for missing product in storage locations
Research and document root cause
Update WMS to match physical through various methods
Operate a scissor lift, (when applicable) to conduct cycle count and validation of inventory
Accurately receive inventory
Work with receiving clerk to ensure accurate receipt of inventory
Audit inbound receipts, both physically and through receipt documentations
Data setup and validation
Accurately input required data into WMS and various other applications (ex. Smartsheets)
Manage unsalable inventory to resolution
Accurately document information on product recalls, returns and damages including physically segregating as required
Work as a member of a team, accomplish team goals and meet warehouse metrics
Maintain professionalism with management and co-workers
Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
• 2 years of general office experience required
• 1 year of customer service experience required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• AS400 experience preferred
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
