LENAX is looking for a Senior Administrator (Level III). The successful candidate will have proven construction contract administrator experience with complex, multi-phase, multi-million-dollar design and construction projects. The Senior Contract Administrator will be supporting one of the notable elements (an automated guideway transit system) of a large, airport capital improvement program. They will assist the project's Commercial Manager in development, oversight, and monitoring procedures to ensure contract compliance, including non-compliance and deductions requirements, relief and compensation events (claims), proposal commitments, change orders, and estimating processes with a track record of performing critical cost and scope analysis to resolve commercial issues with Developer . The Contract Administrator w orks in collaboration with the Project Management team to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with all contractual terms and conditions and Client, City, State and Federal requirements.
Key Identifiers for the Position:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business-related field; plus, training in Procurement, Contract, Construction, and Commercial Law.
Minimum, ten (10) years of in the administration of commercial/government contracts, with diversified experience in the design, construction, and administration of projects of similar scope/size/complexity.
Proficient with development, implementation, and management of contract management and change control processes in various alternative project delivery method.
Essential Job Duties - The Contract Administrator’s duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Lead Contracts Administrator for coordinating assessment of relief event claims.
Contract compliance, analysis and issue resolution strategy.
In conjunction with other Contracts Administrators, provides Project-related change control/contract administration and subject matter expertise in change order, contractual and estimating processes, analysis, and resolution.
Creation and development of contractual tracking and reconciliation processes during the D&C and O&M phases including:
Milestone Payments;
Availability Payments;
D&C period noncompliance occurrences;
O&M period noncompliance occurrences; and,
Approvals/sign-offs.
Creation and development of contractual and change order processes including:
Relief and compensation events (claims);
Change order content;
Analyzing merit of change order requests from Developer;
Supports Project Controls in generating independent estimates and schedules for Developer change orders determined to have merit;
Present change order and estimate evaluation findings to APM Commercial Manager;
Templates for correspondence and directive letters; and,
Coordinate and obtain all required approvals/sign-offs.
Job Qualifications - To effectively perform the essential functions of the job, candidates must meet the following position specifications:
Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business-related field; plus, training in Procurement, Contract, Construction, and Commercial Law.
Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications
Minimum, ten (10) years of in the administration of commercial/government contracts, with diversified experience in the design, construction, and administration of projects of similar scope/size/complexity.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Proficient with development, implementation, and management of contract management and change control processes in various alternative project delivery methods.
In depth knowledge of various alternative project delivery methods contracting relationships and typical contracting terms between the Owner, Developer and all other parties.
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret civil, structural, and site utilities plans and detailed shop drawings.
Hardware/Software Knowledge & Proficiency
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge of and familiarity with project and document management software (such as Primavera, Prolog, SharePoint, etc.).

May assume other duties as required/needed.
Maybe required to work past regular work shift.
Maybe required to work various shifts as needed.
This position offers an optional, hybrid/telework schedule: Telework - Monday and Friday; Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Must be available, to work onsite as needed, as per LAWA’s current, Telework Protocols.

Work Location:
The position is a full-time, regular, exempt position, which will report to the designated, Los Angeles area project offices.
Telework Option:
Telework for up-to-two-days-per week may be authorized. Note: This is not a fully-remote position. Telework is offered as a benefit, and is not required. For those who are authorized to telework, it is assumed that they have the necessary workstation items available to them at home. A complete workstation is provided at the office, only.
Compensation:
Compensation for this position will be posted when the position opens, and will be based upon experience, directly applicable experience, industry experience, skills, education, and other certifications, licensure and training.
