The Research Coordinator II will work in theBionic Ear Lab (https://sites.usc.edu/bionicearlab/) coordinating cochlear implant clinical trials. The coordinator will assist with setting up sound booths to prepare for human subject visits.

Serves as a lead coordinating aspects of sponsor-initiated and investigator-initiated research studies including subject recruitment, data collection, scheduling of study-related activities and follow-up of enrolled subjects. Assists with training of less experienced research coordinators. Provides guidance and direction related to research studies to investigators, research personnel, and subjects, from initial protocol design to completion of study and close-out report.

This is a 60% FTE part time position for 8 hours/day, 3 days/week.

The hourly rate range for this position is $34.52 - $34.62. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, Physics, Biology, or related field Minimum Experience: 3 years Minimum Skills: Research experience in hearing research, cochlear implants, and psychophysics. Experience with microphones used for hearing research. Knowledge of medical environment and terminology. Knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and institutional research regulations as well as Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and HIPAA regulations. Proficient with MS Office applications. Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Preferred Experience: 5 years Preferred Skills: Experience with Matlab.
