DCX-CHOL Enterprises Inc. Quality Manager in Los Angeles, California

Teltronic Division of DCX-CHOL is seeking an experience Quality Manager with the following qualifications:

Purpose: Plans, directs, and performs quality assurance activities necessary to ensure product and process compliance with specifications and contract requirements. Responsible for developing and guiding quality assurance program plans, inspection plans and inspection equipment requirements in both manufacturing and development processes. Manages the corrective and preventative action process and manages quality communications with customers.

Qualifications:

Qualified individuals will possess the following at a minimum:

  • Candidate will have "hands-on" inspection experience, and have a minimum of 3 years in aerospace cable assembly

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Aerospace

  • Working knowledge of AS9100 standards, 5 years of experience in AS9100 quality system

  • Experience with source inspection

  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies

  • Experience with standard quality tools

  • Excellent skill in blueprint reading and interpretation.

  • Excellent skill in reading mil-specs, government contracts and requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

  • Self-motivated and detail oriented in a fast-paced, priority changing environment

Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Supervise quality assurance team of approximately 7 to 8 Quality Inspectors.

  • Maintain QMS to AS9100, regulatory, & contractual requirements.

  • Ensure source inspection complied with IAW contract requirements

  • Manage non-conformance, corrective and preventative action (CPA)

  • Track CPA processes to ensure customer issues are addressed and that corrective actions that are taken in fact address root cause defects.

  • Track CPA to ensure preventive actions are put in place to mitigate potential defects

  • Interact with customer quality engineers, source inspectors, and management representatives as required.

  • Responsible for the development, collection, processing, analysis and interpretation and presentation of quality information and metrics.

  • Generate weekly and monthly quality reports as required by Senior Management team.

  • Evaluates Customer product/process quality requirements and specifications during contract review for consideration in quality planning and feedback to Management on technical needs and/or issues

  • Participate and support internal audits for all functional areas covered by the Quality Management System.

  • Assure customer specifications and inspection records are properly maintained.

  • Assure the calibration system is current and maintained.

  • Maintain employee training records.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
