UCLA Health Psychologist (Hybrid) in Los Angeles, California
Description
The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a full-time Psychologist to join the UCLA Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relationship Skills (PEERS) Clinic. The UCLA PEERS Clinic is a manualized, social skills training intervention for adolescents and young adults. It has a strong evidence-base for use with teens and young adults with autism spectrum disorders, but is also appropriate for teens and young adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other socioemotional problems. Primary duties include:
Evaluating and monitoring symptoms, difficulties, and strengths/resources using interviews, questionnaires, and standardized tests
Providing individual, group, and family treatment and intervention
Working with a multi-disciplinary team
Communicating recommendations to patients and families at program visits and in written reports
Providing care management and support
Providing education to others about the program services and resources
Other duties as assigned
Salary range: $51.52-$67.95 Hourly
Qualifications
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related field
Must be licensed as a psychologist in the State of California
Prior experience developing intervention programs for child and adolescents and in managing the behavior of individuals with psychiatry disorders across the life course.
Extensive experience working with children and adolescents and their families
Ability to work flexible schedule to meet clients needs
Extensive training in a variety of psychological assessment measures
Extensive knowledge of evidence-based interventions for individuals with psychiatry disorders
Extensive experience conducting behavioral analyses and implementing behavior intervention techniques
Experience and demonstrated competence in working with multi-cultural populations
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write and edit written reports
Demonstrated ability to protect patient confidentiality, comply with all HIPAA, JCAHO, CMS and regulatory policies, procedures, requirements, etc.
