We are currently seeking to fill the position of Payroll Specialist and seeking professionals who thrive in dynamic work environments. Our company is dedicated to upholding the highest standards in both our products and our people.

Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll Specialist who will be responsible for the payroll processing for our 3000+ employees. The role will require a comprehensive understanding and practical application of payroll rules, regulations, and procedures, specifically related to terminations, audit, leaves of absence, and PTO accruals. If you are skilled, diligent and have proven experience in similar roles, we would like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process and validate payroll for over 3000 employees

  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.

  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.

  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.

  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, etc.).

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.

  • Handle administration of electronic timekeeping system.

  • Deal with employees' pay-related concerns and provide accurate payroll information.

  • Undertake required tasks related to terminations, audits, leave of absences, and PTO accruals

  • Complete Compliance for unclaimed property payroll checks

  • Remain updated with state and federal tax regulations

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a payroll role

  • Experienced in dealing with large payroll processing (over 3000 employees).

  • Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal laws about payroll, taxes, and benefits

  • Proficient with payroll software, Excel, Word, and other related programs.

  • Strong numerical aptitudes and meticulous attention to detail

  • Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
