Overview
Position Summary: The Neurodiagnostic Senior Technician is under minimal supervision of the Ambulatory PCS manager, performs a wide variety of neurodiagnostic studies to include both in- patient and out- patient EEG testing, evoked potentials and specialized studies in the laboratory; at the bedside of critically ill patients in the ICU, EMU and in the operating room. Provides findings, results and a descriptive analysis according to the department standards. Follows hospital policy and procedures. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Consistently demonstrates commitment to a patient and family focused model of care. Strong well developed communication skills are essential for this position. Critical thinking skills and time management are important for this position.
Qualifications: Graduate of Neurophysiology technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training or equivalent experience in this field. Bachelors years of college preferred or in process. 2 years-REEG experience in a hospital setting, pediatric experience preferred. Prefer- experience with intra- operative cases and epilepsy surgery patients. Exposure to IOM License
Registration or Certification required: Current BLS certification. Registered-American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required: Long term monitoring; Evoke potential and intra operative monitoring. Demonstrated organizational skills and excellent organization skills as well as critical thinking. Familiar with basic computer knowledge with emphasis on Word and Excel.
Pay Scale Information
USD $68,432.00 - $117,926.00

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements.
