Description

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry located in Alhambra, California. As a Medical Biller/Collections Specialist, you will be tasked with managing insurance denials, comprehending the intricacies of the UB04 form, and effectively communicating with patients and staff regarding insurance coverage and patient liability.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire billing and collection processes within a hospital setting

• Implement efficacious strategies for managing insurance denials

• Gain a thorough understanding of the UB04 form and its complexities

• Address and resolve patients' billing complaints and issues promptly

• Effectively communicate insurance coverage details and patient liabilities to patients and staff

• Apply payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts accurately

• Identify and resolve payment discrepancies and review accounts for collection

• Document all conversations, emails, and actions taken on an account meticulously
