Summary :

The Merchandise Marketing and e-Commerce Intern works under the Director of Retail along with the Rank + Rally Merchandise teams and departments in coordinating all marketing needs. This position will involve building and executing brand marketing plans for Rank + Rally Merchandise teams, press needs, and media outreach. The marketing intern has crucial responsibilities in managing social media pages, including Facebook, Twitter, and Google Keyword, by promoting brands and teams online via e-burst campaigns. They will also be working with the Internet Department to assure the quality of promotional sales and finding creative ways to distribute marketing collateral to the public. In addition, the marketing intern may also be asked to participate in grassroots programming, communicate within Rank + Rally for crossover promotions, and contact outside media to expand awareness of our websites. This position will also encompass the functionalities and operations of the e-Commerce business.

Long Description

General Responsibilities:

• Assist E-commerce manager with Lakersstore.com and TeamLAstore.com in product placement and launches.

• Performing marketing analysis and research for latest trends

• Designing and presenting new social media campaign ideas

• Monitoring all social media platforms for trending news, ideas, and feedback

• Preparing detailed promotional presentations

• Contributing to the creation of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content

• Create promotional banners for e-commerce product launches

• Aptitude with various social media platforms as well as the data tracking tools associated with them.

• Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms

• Computer proficiency and comfortable learning new computer applications

• The ability to work flexible schedule based on department and store needs

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Strong listening, presentation, and decision-making skills

• Strong teambuilding skills.

• Ability to manage workload toward a timeline/deadline

• Ability to develop strong relationships
