Financial Analyst 2510506 One of the most prestigious and well-known universities is seeking a Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will prepare, review and analyze financial and statistical information required for completion of the annual Medicare and Medi-Cal cost report. The ideal candidate has regulatory cost report experience. The company offers a great work environment! Financial Analyst Pay and Benefits: • Hourly pay: $30/hr • Worksite: One of the most prestigious and well-known universities (Los Angeles, CA 90024 - Hybrid - in the office approx. 4 times/year) • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL • 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment Financial Analyst Responsibilities: • Prepare, review and analyze financial and statistical information required for completion of the annual Medicare and Medi-Cal cost report. • Participate in audits from the State and Federal Governments as well as investigations or focused audits from the Office of Inspector General; responsible for collecting and compiling the data required for various audits and appeals such P14 audit, DSH audit, I&R appeal, 340B audit, Medicare Wage Index and Medicare Cost Report audits. • Develop ad-hoc reports and modeling. • Complete other duties as assigned by the Director of Reimbursement. Financial Analyst Qualifications: • 2+ years of related experience. Medicare and Medi-Cal regulation knowledge and experience preferred. • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, mathematics, or related field required. • Regulatory cost report experience is a must. • Knowledge of third-party payer regulations and contracts including Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and non-governmental payers. • Demonstrate highly developed verbal and written communication skills, excellent analytical and problem solving skills, the ability to assess and evaluate complex financial data, and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks. History of making recommendations using clear and concise presentations to senior leadership. • Exhibit excellent leadership and self-direction, good judgment in handling difficult situations and good organizational, time management, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
