Join UCLA Health as the Director of Ambulatory Operational Excellence, where you will lead transformative initiatives to improve operations across over 280 clinics in Southern and Central California. This key leadership role will focus on enhancing access, optimizing workflows, and driving operational efficiency to support our mission of delivering world-class care.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop operational teams, including the Operational Capacity, Clinic Activations, and Operational Patient Experience teams.
Oversee programs that improve patient access, optimize clinic utilization, and enhance the patient experience across all ambulatory services.
Collaborate with clinical directors, physician leaders, and cross-functional teams to standardize processes, implement best practices, and achieve organizational goals.
Drive clinic activation projects, ensuring seamless integration for new clinic openings and expansions.
Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities, implement solutions, and sustain improvements in operations and patient care delivery.

*This position is flexible-hybrid and requires 2-3 days per week of on-site work in Westwood as well as travel to clinics based on current initiatives and priorities.

Salary range:
UCLA Health's salary range for this title code is $140,200 - $331,800 annual. Please note that the department's target pay range is up to $220,000 annual.
QualificationsWe're seeking a strategic, innovative, creative leader and problem solver with:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field - Master's degree preferred
Ten or more years of experience in ambulatory operations performance improvement, preferably in an academic medical center environment.
Proven leadership skills, with a track record of inspiring teams, driving change, and achieving measurable outcomes.
Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma certification desired
