The Role
Our team of Department Assistants (DAs) are full-time Netflix employees who are qualified to provide coverage support for all Assistants within our Content/Creative departments (including but not limited to the Original Film, Series, Unscripted & Live Events, Marketing, Product & Technology, and Public Relations Teams). The DA’s purpose is to quickly and efficiently provide quality administrative support for each respective desk they are assigned to, enabling business leaders to continue doing their best work.
DAs will begin their journey at Netflix by going through our two-week in-house onboarding program.. Our program consists of curated classes that will equip DAs with the necessary skills to thrive at Netflix. Further, being a Department Assistant at Netflix offers several compelling benefits:

Specific Responsibilities:
Adapting and thriving in dynamic working environments, showcasing agility and flexibility with each coverage assignment
Managing heavy calendars- including scheduling internal and external meetings, and resolving meeting conflicts
Rolling a heavy volume of internal and external calls
Taking concise notes in meetings and strategically circulating information to the broader team
Engaging in heavy communication internally and externally
Coordinating travel arrangements (domestic and international) and other travel-related administrative duties (i.e. processing travel and expense reports)
Creating presentations and documents using PowerPoint, Canva, and Google Docs
Assisting with team projects, events, and/or off-site as needed
Processing expense reports, accurately submitting business-related expenses incurred by executives, and providing the necessary documentation for reimbursement and credit card reports
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2+ Years as an assistant is strongly preferred; 1-year minimum is required
Entertainment Industry experience is strongly preferred (i.e Talent Agency, Management Company, Studio, Production, or Network)
Team player who operates in a fast-paced and team-oriented setting
Possessing drive and ambition, along with a natural sense of curiosity
Ability to handle sensitive information, maintaining confidentiality and integrity at all times
Ability to be a self-starter and work autonomously
Ability to quickly prioritize and respond accordingly
Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask
Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, and Excel is strongly preferred
Demonstrates genuine passion for the entertainment industry, staying current with trends, blockbusters, indie darlings, and emerging talents

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range.
