We have immediate openings for an energetic, outgoing, customer service oriented, and experienced individuals to fill the position of a Part Time Cycling Instructor to conduct group classes for members and guest; designing choreography and leading, instructing, and motivating class participants.

This position also provides excellent service to members and guests in a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes wellness; taking initiative to assist member improve their lives and connect with each other.

  1. Conduct Efficient Fitness Classes

  2. Conduct classes professionally and focused on the wellbeing and quality of service to our members and guests.

  3. Manage time effectively to ensure classes begin and end on scheduled time.

  4. Acclimate class participants in a welcoming demeanor; introduce yourself, assess if any new members are in class, announce class difficulty level, and explain class structure prior to starting class.

  5. Ensure participants can follow instructions; use loud, clear voice, and easy and clear hand/arm directives.

  6. Adhere to the description of the class; modify intensity only when appropriate and avoid teaching any contra indicated exercises

  7. Inform and educate participants while teaching the class on proper form and fitness relevant information.

  8. Use appropriate music; keep volume at a level that allows you to be heard easily, use music that is not offensive or unpleasant.

  9. Be a role model to participants; be aware class participant’s abilities; give individual attention where necessary, always project a friendly, outgoing, helpful manner to all members and guests at all times; communicate with members and guests in a positive manner, encouraging their fitness goals and remaining aware of their comfort level.

  10. Perform Program Responsibilities Accurately and Timely

  • You must sign-in and document attendance of class participation

  • Every shift, check your individual file folder for athletic updates and supervisor communication.

  • Weekly check the group exercise schedule; communicate any anticipates changes to your supervisor in advance.

  • Follow the guidelines for class substitution that is documented in the Group Exercise Manual.

  • Communicate member feedback, equipment, and operational issues to your supervisor as soon as possible.

  • Effectively resolve customer concerns; take accountability, listen to member’s point of view, remain calm, offer solutions.

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ideal: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in position of Group Exercise Instructor

  • Required: Must have technical knowledge and skills required to perform and teach a group class or mind/body class.

  • Required: Valid Group Certification in AFAA, ACE, NETA OR NASM.

  • Required: CPR / First Aid Certification

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to receive constructive feedback

  • At least 18 years of age

Pay: Hourly Base Rate $19.73 USD, Class rate $37.00 USD.
