Under

the direction of the Building Manager or Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeping

Supervisor oversees housekeeping functions for a multi-unit hospital, common

areas up to 500,000 sq. feet. Responsible for daily supervision of between 15

full-time career housekeepers and up to 5 seasonal casual staff. Ensure

housekeeping/maintenance standards of meeting and exceeding customer

expectations are kept. Provide on-the-job training to staff, including proper

use of chemicals and equipment, and ensure compliance with published safety

standards.

Salary Range: $51,400 - $100,600 / annuallyQualifications

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school administrators and staff.

• Ability to express ideas clearly, both orally and in writing.

• Ability to learn and properly utilize various machines/equipment especially as machines/equipment isupgraded.

• Ability to plan, train and provide work direction to other in a manner that is conducive to full performance and high morale of the employee.

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach and climb stairs and ladders for long periods of times.

• Knowledge of cleaning materials, supplies, equipment, building fixtures and equipment.

• Must be able to respond to emergencies and work in inclement weather, as needed.

• Must be able to rotate between a day/night shift, as directed.

• Must have a knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and routine preventive maintenance.
