Description
We are in search of a Corporate Paralegal to support our client in the non-profit/philanthropy sector, based in Los Angeles, California. This role offers an onsite long term contract employment opportunity, where you will be providing support in various areas such as contract drafting, corporate governance, compliance and maintenance, legal database oversight, litigation management, ensure regulatory compliance and circulate relevant. Furthermore, you will be involved in activities aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the Legal department and managing costs. Responsibilities:
• Draft and review contracts to ensure compliance and governance
• Administer and maintain the legal database
• Work on continuous improvement efforts with in-house and outside vendors
• Support legal operations work streams and technologies
• Manage ad hoc projects handled by the General Counsel office
• Assist in supporting the budget and quarterly accruals process
• Perform data analytics and review and run reports
• Be involved in claim administration and calendar management
• Utilize Adobe Acrobat and Case Management Software for various tasks
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Requirements • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat for document creation and management
• Skilled in using Case Management Software for efficient handling of legal cases
• Experience in Billing Functions related to legal cases and corporate affairs
• Capable of Briefing teams and stakeholders on legal matters
• Proficient in Calendar Management to ensure timely execution of legal tasks
• Experience in Claim Administration in a corporate setting
• Strong Communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear conveyance of legal matters
• Expertise in Contract Management, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiation
• Ability to Draft Agreements pertaining to various corporate affairs
• Capability to Assure Compliance with all legal requirements within the organization
• Experience in Regulatory Affairs, particularly in a non-profit setting
