Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Los Angeles, California

Description We are in search of a meticulous and dependable Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry, based in Los Angeles, California. The role will entail the management of billing, reconciliation, payment application on customer accounts, as well as the resolution of related inquiries. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain efficient, accurate, and timely operations within the scope of their duties.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure a seamless flow of information

• Generate and execute billing, cash management, and reporting activities in line with specific deadlines and client contract requirements

• Reconcile customer account details for non-payments, discrepancies, delayed payments, and other irregularities

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts receivable customer files and records

• Follow established procedures for processing customer receipts and preparing bank deposits

• Investigate and resolve client queries and requests promptly and efficiently

• Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts when necessary, also process adjustments as needed

• Assist with accounting month-end and year-end closings to ensure all financial data is accurate

• Analyze client data and activities and prepare monthly metrics to update management

• Utilize relevant computer software such as Microsoft Dynamics, Word, and Excel for various tasks. Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Should possess comprehensive knowledge and experience in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with billing processes and procedures is crucial

• Experience with cash applications and cash collections is necessary

• Should have a strong background in commercial collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience with MS Dynamics is a plus

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• A high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation is expected.
