Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler Lead.

The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 - $40.54. Generally starting at $27.00 an hour per hour. The hours for second shift are as follows; 1:45pm - 10:15pm.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you’ll do:

The Material Handler Lead reports to Logistics & Materials Supervisor. This position is responsible for leading a team of Material Handlers in the day to day operations of the department(s). The Material Handler Lead contributes to a work team environment and demonstrates excellent customer service skills. Promotes teamwork and partnership & performs daily functions within the company safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Works with logistics & materials supervisor to ensure implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed these requirements as well as customer expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Material handler lead must ensure material handlers in work group are completing task timely and accurately.

• May provide on-the-job training to new team members.

• Participate in start-up activities with cross functional teams.

• Coordinate daily/weekly tasks associated with the department's processes, resources, staffing and customer demands.

• Delegate and monitor the daily duties of the material handlers.

• Assist with decisions regarding warehouse activities.

• Administer reports to provide measurable status of productivity for functional area.

• Resolves problems and makes decisions regarding issues in assigned department.

• Ensure all verifications of errors are done in a timely manner.

• Assists as needed key areas such as shipping, receiving and stockroom to ensure goals are met.

• Other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

• Minimum 5 years experience working in the Stockroom in Manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Some experience in leading the stockroom or shipping department in a manufacturing environment.

• Some Aerospace experience.

• Minimum 2 years forklift operating experience

• Previous forklift certification

• Experience in both shipping and receiving

Skills:

Position Criteria

• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to work from written and verbal instructions.

• Computer proficiency.

• Attention to detail.

• Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time.

Physical Requirements:

• Sitting, standing, walking, squatting

• Pulling frequently, reaching frequently

• Lifting/Carrying: Knees, Waist

• Lifting requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (group lifts over 35lbs)
