Job Title: Heliarc Welder

Job Description

Two Heli-Arc welders needed for a large aerospace company in Long Beach/Los Alamitos area with pay starting at $32.22 an hour. This is a mid-level welding position using GTAW processes on sheet metal. On-the-Job training and certification required. Welders shall meet the requirements to certify to Government, customer, and company specifications.

Responsibilities include:

• Assemble and weld aerospace products to Engineering drawings, customer, and company requirements.

• Set up and operate welding machines.

• Perform at acceptable levels of quality and productivity on all welding assignments.

• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications necessary to perform welding correctly.

• Identify and recognize welding problems, troubleshoot, and correct with guidance from Journeymen Welder, Lead person, or Supervisor.

• Manufacture shop aides/purges used to facilitate welding as needed.

• Weld production aerospace assemblies using GTAW processes.

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly FOD-Free environment and adhere to all safety standards.

Large Manufacturing Aerospace Manufacturing company (500 employees). Union shop.

2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm), training may be on 1st shift (6am to 2:30pm). $32.22 + $0.75 shift differential for 2nd shift.
