BAE Systems Mobile Devices RF Test Engineer in Lorton, Virginia
Job Description
Support an agile team in analyzing, designing, building, and testing high quality products that exceeds our customer expectations. Will review requirements form customers, design test plans, write tests cases, oversee, test strategies, and perform and coordinate testing for the assign systems. Will submit and verify defects, maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of product software, analyzes test results to certify existing functionality and integration, and recommends corrective action upon failures. Testing will include functional and non-functional, integration, and regression testing.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
The position requires the following skills and experience:
Minimum of 4 years of software and hardware testing experience
Experience in Acceptance Test and how it applies to Agile Testing
Experience testing/assessing raw research product to determine reliability and development path to releasibility
Experience working in an agile development environment
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Experience designing functional and non-functional test cases that verify requirements and validate functionality
Experience analyzing technical requirements for validity, feasibility and technical soundness and decompose them to extract positive and negative test scenarios and strong acceptance criteria
Experience detecting, reporting, and tracking defects
Experience in the development and implementation of agile and repeatable processes to verify release meet quality standards before launch
Experience in test result evaluation, reporting, and metrics
Highly self-motivated, goal oriented, and self-directed
Demonstrated ability to operate and innovate in a small team with a fast paced environment, balancing both strategic and tactical needs
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with testing applications for mobile devices
Experience with RF communications systems to include cellular, Wi-Fi, and/or Blue tooth
Linux and Python familiarization
Ability to build out prototype components to support external testing
Experience using Atlassian tool suite
Experience with end to end testing
Experience with additional automation tools
Troubleshooting skills on non-standard systems
Ability to conduct purchasing in the government space
Fabrication capabilities-woodworking, electrical
Flexibility in the demands of the sponsoring organizations
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $112420 - $191070
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
