Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Project Accountant in the construction industry based in Longwood, Florida. As a Project Accountant, you will be tasked with managing and updating project data, ensuring financial coherence with contract terms, and assisting with various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring correct financial structure and alignment with contract terms during new project setups.

• Maintaining and updating project data using Deltek VantagePoint.

• Collaborating with project managers and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Assisting in financial reporting and other diverse accounting tasks as required.

• Reconciling project financials with contract terms, including labor rates.

• Managing discrepancies in project accounting data and ensuring accurate and timely resolution.

• Keeping labor rate tables updated and accurate.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Deltek software is crucial for managing project accounting tasks.

• Comprehensive understanding of general accounting functions to ensure accurate financial management.

• Ability to handle Accounts Payable (AP), including invoice processing, vendor communication, and payment scheduling.

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoice generation, client communication, and payment tracking.

• Familiarity with auditing procedures to ensure accurate and compliant record keeping.

• Expertise in project accounting, specifically in tracking and reporting on project financials.
