Community Health Systems RN NICU FT Nights in Longview, Texas

Longview Regional Medical Center is currently hiring RN Full Time Nights for the NICU department. The hours for this role will be 6 PM to 6 AM. Job Duties:

  • Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care

  • Assists physicians during examinations and procedures

  • Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse

  • Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills

  • Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire

  • Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
