Community Health Systems ER Monitor Tech Full Time in Longview, Texas

PURPOSE: Operates and troubleshoots all functions of the telemetry monitoring system. Provides concise continual surveillance, analyzes cardiac rhythms, documents rhythm strips on patient’s medical record and notifies appropriate personnel of changes. Performs unit secretary duties as defined in job description.

SCHEDULE: Primarily 12 hour shifts. Rotating weekend, holiday and other shifts as needed to provide coverage. May be necessary to work on units other than the assigned unit to maintain staff coverage. During periods of low scheduling, may be encouraged to take vacation days or other days off.

REPORTS TO: Charge Nurse, Clinical Supervisor, and/or Director

Licenses/Certificates: American Heart Association Heartsaver/AED CPR

Experience: Minimum of one year unit secretary or monitor tech experience preferred
