Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Longmont, Colorado
Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Longmont, Colorado. In this role, your primary function will be handling and managing accounts payable, establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors, and ensuring bills and payroll are paid in a timely and accurate manner. This position involves analyzing workflow processes, processing due invoices for payments, and comparing purchase orders.
Responsibilities:
• Manage accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Analyze workflow processes to ensure efficiency
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
• Process due invoices for payments in a timely and accurate manner
• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges
• Ensure adherence to departmental procedures during the payment process
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions and accounting duties such as account maintenance and recording entries
• Continuously monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary
• Work with 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Tax - Sales & Use', 'Epicor', 'Peachtree Sage', and 'Peachtree Accounting Software' to effectively complete tasks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and best practices
• Knowledge of Sales & Use Tax regulations and procedures
• Experience with Epicor software for managing business processes
• Familiarity with Peachtree Sage and Peachtree Accounting Software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not mandatory
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate analysis.
