We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Mechanic Shop Foreman to lead a team of technicians in a busy fleet repair shop in Long Island City. This is an opportunity for an individual who not only excels in diagnostics and repairs but is also passionate about mentorship, leadership, and driving team success. Key Responsibilities
Lead and Mentor: Supervise, train, and develop a team of auto technicians, ensuring work is completed efficiently and correctly.
Oversee Daily Shop Operations: Manage workflow, delegate tasks, and maintain high standards for quality and safety.
Advanced Diagnostics and Repairs: Use expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, brake, hydraulic, and ignition system issues.
Maintain Quality and Compliance: Ensure all repairs meet company and regulatory standards, conduct inspections, and enforce shop policies.
Optimize Shop Efficiency: Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and maintain an organized, productive work environment.
What We Are Looking For
At least 10 years of hands-on automotive mechanic experience in a fast-paced setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage people and processes effectively.
Fleet maintenance experience preferred, with knowledge of all types of passenger vehicles.
Hybrid and EV experience highly valued—additional pay and incentives for expertise in this area.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
