Description We are providing an opportunity for a competent Retail/Consumer Goods Accountant to join our team in the Oil & Gas industry, located in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial and operational data, oversee projects related to these teams, and communicate recommendations and concerns to business partners. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Accounting team to carry out daily accounting tasks and address daily accounting issues

• Manage and facilitate the reconciliation process for balance sheet accounts

• Support in the site cash, merchandising, and system processes, and make necessary corrections

• Detect stores with missing submittals and erroneous data, rectify this and report to the relevant parties

• Carry out analysis for, but not limited to, cash overs/shorts, credit cards, invoicing, and lottery

• Scrutinize a variety of data exception reporting such as item adjustment errors, and merchandise sales. Requirements

This role is requiring someone who has Accounting/ Finance experience specifically in the Consumer Goods/ Retail space.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Knowledge of CL Programming

• Familiarity with Concur

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proven skills in Auditing

• Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account

• Experience in Big Box Retail

• Familiarity with Amazon Retail

• Ability to manage Equipment Inventory

• Experience in Fixed Asset Inventory

• Proficiency in Inventory Accounting

• Skills in Inventory Analysis

• Experience in conducting Inventory Audits
