TEKsystems PBX Phone Operator in Long Beach, California
Description:
day shift Phone Operator for shift: Sun 7:00am – 3:30pm, Mon
– Thu 8:30am – 5:00pm, (Fri, Sat Off) to work onsite at Long Beach Memorial Hospital.
Eventually the hours and days off will change, but the position will remain on day shift.
Seeking a PBX Operator to answer incoming calls, provide quality messaging of proper medical coding in a critical healthcare facility, will be providing Patient Services & Phone Support. Manage communication network for internal and external calls transferring each caller to designated locations whether a clinic, department/floor in facility or a patient.
Manage the Emergency line for the whole hospital, dispatching each code received in a timely manner to a specific location via overhead page.

Experience the following areas:
• 6 months+ experience as an operator for a hospital or call center or customer service representative, administrative, computer skills
• MS Office Suite
• Windows 7+
• Strong computer skills, Customer Service experience
• Bilingual English/Spanish plus
• English/Khmer (Cambodian) or
• English/Vietnamese preferred only a plus
• Must be able to sit for 67%-100% of the time
• Must be able to occasionally lift overhead or carry up to 24lbs
• Must possess the following visual requirements:
o Close eye work (small figures) o Normal color discrimination o Computers and books
• Must be able to work in environments that are between 16 and 95 degrees
• Must possess the following Manual Dexterity/Strength
o Gross motor, light-moderate strength
o Fine motor, light to moderate strength
