Description We are introducing an exciting opportunity in the Hospitality industry, based in LONG BEACH, California. We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our team, bringing their expertise in finance and accounting to our dynamic work environment.
Key responsibilities:
• Oversee and enhance financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems.
• Manage the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements.
• Engage with the Food and Beverage team to develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
• Lead the development and execution of an effective budget model and annual budgeting process.
• Implement and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
• Utilize '3M', 'Accounting Software Systems', 'ADP - Financial Services', 'Concur', 'CRM', 'Accounting Functions', 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Annual Budget', 'Auditing', and 'Budget Processes' skills to improve and maintain financial health.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s procedures.
• Communicate financial metrics to senior management and provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
• Develop and utilize forward-looking, predictive models and financial analyses to provide insight into the organization’s operations and business plans. Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a finance-related role within the Hospitality industry
• Strong proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Demonstrated ability to manage and execute Accounting Functions
• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential
• Proven expertise in Annual Budget planning and management
• Experience in Auditing processes is necessary
• Familiarity with Budget Processes is a must
• Proficiency in 3M, ADP - Financial Services, Concur, and CRM
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
• CPA or other relevant certification is a plus
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and legislation.
