Our client, an international Aerospace company is seeking a Systems Safety Engineer to join their team. As a Systems Safety Engineer, you will be part of the Systems Team supporting Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have strong Aerospace systems safety engineering experience along with ARP 476 and DO-178 and DO-254 expertise which will align successfully in the organization. This is a long term W2 contract position with benefits provided! This is a hybrid position and this individual can be located in Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX or the St Louis, MO area near the client's offices for the hybrid portion of the role.

Job Title: Aerospace Safety or Systems Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX or St Louis, MO

Pay Range: $75/hr plus OT, benefits

What’s the Job?

• Performing safety analyses, audits, reviews on component, system and avionics level areas of commercial and military aircraft

• Performing root cause and corrective action, risk mitigation, verification and validation and other related activities

• Creating and submitting related documentation and safety plans

• Working with internal and external customers

What’s Needed?

• Minimum BS degree in Engineering

• 5+ years' experience in systems engineering and safety engineering in Aerospace with both commercial and military aircraft systems

• Experience with ARP 476, MIL-STD-882, DO-178 and DO-254

• Experience with safety analyses, audits, reviews, documentation along with risk mitigation plans, verification and validation

• S16 certification experience
