Job Description

Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist will be the primary point of the relationships with spare parts suppliers. This role is responsible for obtaining quotes and required onboarding information, tracking changes and material substitutions, escalating questions and issues, and measuring and enforcing adherence to supplier requirement standards.You will work with suppliers on generational switchover from 410A to 454B and ensure continuity for 410A parts as well as identifying new 454B spare parts suppliers. As the Procurement Specialist, you will evaluate and propose options for the steps necessary for parts to be sold as ‘Aftermarket Parts’ single packed and labeled as necessary and including hardware or instructions. You will work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to audit and backfill basic PIM and more complex technical performance data. You will identify and review specs for certain categories of material to determine opportunities for improvement from an alternate source.

Your Job Duties & Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze and present spare parts data compiled from a wide variety of sources.

  • Identify, evaluate and recommend appropriate Direct/Indirect suppliers changes.

  • Review consumption history, and forecast and evaluate quantities for potential quantity discount price adjustments.

  • Lead supplier negotiations and contract development

  • Check supplier compliance with our requirement standards.

  • When appropriate, travel to supplier locations for negotiations, development activities, project work, etc.

  • Review and upload yearly price updates in SAP for all spare parts suppliers.

  • Negotiate with suppliers in the areas such as pricing, payment terms, delivery terms, etc.

  • Obtain bids from suppliers for current and future placement of orders.

  • Look for alternate suppliers for third party spares.

  • Investigate price discrepancies not included in yearly updates.

  • Gather all needed documents for new supplier set up.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related fields

  • 3-5 years previous work experience. HVAC Industry Preferred

  • Ability to thrive in dynamic work environment

  • Critical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to details and ability to multi-task

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite Software and SAP

Work Environment:

  • Applicants must live a commutable distance to the Londonderry, NH office.

  • Significant use of computer and phone for daily work
