Are you passionate about supporting children and families in need? The Madison County Department of Job and Family Services is looking for a Social Service Worker 2 -- Ongoing to join our dynamic Children Services Division. This full-time role is your opportunity to create lasting, positive change in the lives of children involved in child welfare services.
As a Social Service Worker 2, you will be directly involved in conducting home visits, case management, and fostering relationships with families. You'll attend court hearings, monitor placements, and make a real impact on the lives of children in foster care.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: At least 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Licenses/Certifications: Valid Ohio driver's license with insurability under the County vehicle insurance policy.
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of child development, social work practices, and community resources.
Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to work in emotionally sensitive environments.
